Rashi Street

A demolition of a three-story residential building on Rashi Street in central Tel Aviv in 2008. Tel Aviv brands itself as a nature reservation, where a restrained and intelligent modernist ethos is alive and well. The building was torn down in one afternoon by a series of aggressive, crude, and spectacular actions. A thick cloud of dust seemed suspended, frozen for hours in mid-air, veiling what had happened and what was about to take place.
