A former cultural community center at Nahalal, the oldest Israeli settlement of its kind (a workers’ cooperative agricultural settlement, or moshav), Nahalal was planned in the 1920s by German-born architect Richard Kauffmann. The cultural center was built between 1928 and 1930, the same period as the construction of Haus Esters.
